Re: 🛠️ Creating a symlink in macOS to store the Sims 4 folder on an external drive

I recently got a macbook air and bought a sandisk ssd for sims, and I was able to get the game and whatever mods/cc I downloaded at first (about 300-400) but now trying to put anything else in there, it says it’s in the files yet when I load my game there is nothing there. Is it something I’m doing, or is there something I should be doing?

You have to create a symbolic link (symlink) in the Documents folder to any user data (the Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder) for your game that you store on the external drive. See the opening post in this master thread I've moved your post to for further explanation and how to do this.
