Cursor not moving or letting me play Sims 4 at all and it keeps freezing

Does anyone know how to fix this? I've been having this issue for a while now where whenever I try to open the sims it will freeze, and then I'll press windows and it'll repeat when I re-click on it. Sometimes I'm able to get far enough that I can hear the music but my screen is frozen and my cursor isn't moving even though I'm moving my mouse. I've uninstalled, and reinstalled both EA and The Sims 4. I have no mods currently and it's not working. What's weird to me is that a couple of months ago I played with a ton of mods no problem. I'd really appreciate some help if anyone knows what's going on?

Does this happen in fullscreen and windowed mode?

I'm not interested in whether it's a Mod issue or not as this is the Mac tech forum and there is a dedicated Mods forum here. Please rename your Sims 4 folder and then launch the game so we test a clean game without any of your user data loaded. Does it still happen?

Bluebellflora  I'm not sure if it happens in windowed mode, because my Sims won't let me access the settings currently due to the cursor not working. But I renamed it and it continued to happen, but thank you for the suggestions and your help. Is there anyway to access windowed mode with the current problems?

ItzApollobully  This is kinda similar to mine cause if i close it and open it again it'll move along a bit. Did you ever get yours fixed?

Open the Options.ini file in TextEdit, look for the fullscreen value and change it from 1 to zero. Save and quit then load the game.
