does cc and mods work if u put the folder on a USB
ok, so i play sims on my macbook. and now i wanted to update sims but i have to little storage. i was wondering, if u put the mods folder on a usb would the cc and mods still work?

I moved your post into correct forum. You cannot move single folders from the game to a separate usb stick.
If you have too little storage, you have to install the whole game on an external drive. I playes Sims 4 on MBP 2015 with an external TB storage disk without performance glitches../Liz
