aliencliqxe With the drive plugged in, please open Disk Utility, in Applications > Utilities, click the name of the drive, and post a screenshot of what you see.
As a side note, running Sims 4 from an HDD will slow down the game, perhaps by a lot depending on the specs of your computer and how full the internal drive is. I would never recommend it unless the player had no other options. An external SSD is much better IF it's as fast as it should be, but the top speed of a readily-available HDD is significantly slower.
