There are numerous threads on the Gallery crashing for Mac users in this Mac forum with no 100% fix. Unfortunately it appears to be an ongoing issue.
Not sure why your lots have disappeared. Did you maybe save your game after bulldozing them?

@Bluebellflora No, I didn't even bulldoze them because I was hoping one day the lots would just come back up. I didn't know it was an ongoing issue for Mac users, do you recommend me uninstalling Origin? I'm so afraid to do that because I don't wanna lose my game although I haved saved most of them.

I wouldn't recommend uninstalling Origin no, I don't see how either of your issues would be fixed by doing that.
I would check your saves though and also repair the game.I've tried repairing my game over and over, even without my mods folder and nothing has changed. My saves look ok though!

Not sure what the missing lots issue could be. If your saves are loading ok all the files are in the right location. Move your Mods folder to the desktop, trash the localthumbcache.package file and then load the game to see if it still happens.
