Game Won't Close

My game is working perfectly... until I try to start a new world. CAS is just fine, but, when I start a new world, the game gets stuck in a loading screen. And it won't close. I honestly don't know what is wrong, I do have CC but it's not a lot. Anything I could try?

  • Try moving the entire Sims 4 folder to your Desktop. (Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4) Do NOT delete it! This is where your saved games are stored. Next start up the Sims 4 allowing a new folder to generate and try to start a new game remembering that none of your saved games will appear. If you can start and play a new game, do so for about an hour or so before saving and quitting your game. Try again once more to start a new game and new world just to make sure the game is working again.

    Please let us know what happens.

    THat seems like a great solution but the game is still open right now, I can't close it, which was the problem.

    Even when I moved the folder the game still stayed open.

    You may have to Force Quit the game or simply restart your computer before moving the Sims 4 folder. Restarting your computer will close out any other programs that may be running in the background and causing your game to act odd. The game should not be running when you move the Sims 4 folder.

    @chauncywadsworth

    You really shouldn't be moving game folders around when your game is open, that's just going to cause the game even more confusion 🙂

    Have you managed to fix the issue now?
