Gameplay Won't Load
Hi, So I recently re-downloaded The Sims onto an external hard drive. Initially I just had the saves on the hard drive but I had to move the app onto the hard drive as well because I use this laptop...

The only way would be to roll back to a backup version of the save https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/recover-backup-save-game/
Or if you have a manual or Time Machine backup of your data, restore the save from before it corrupted.
