Grim Reaper Week2 Update Causing Main menu Problems

Ever since I updated my game for Grim Week 2 it started this little pop-up that comes up fine but when I go to PLAY the game and click off the pop up it greys out my whole main menu screen so it where I can click continue my household or anything- 

(and it's not the main menu mod because it happened before I even put it in.)

    Week 3 and it is having lots of issues too.  I have done parts of the quest three times. I give up now.
