Macbook pro 2019 will not charge while playing the sims 4 and ONLY the sims 4
I just got handed down a macbook pro 2019 13 inch and i downloaded the sims 4 again. ive had this on every single mac laptop/computer I've ever owned, but this one will not charge while playing the game. It always says "not charging" under the percentage bar and it immediately comes uo as that as soon as I launch the game (even before the main menu). My charger is the default one from apple and I have no Idea why this is happening. I tried changing graphics settings and every possible thing in the apple settings, but nothing works. Every other game I play I don't have this issue.

Yep, my 2017 15" MBP does the same. I believe it is a problem with the power management of the machine though as I often have to reset the SMC to get it to charge at all after having had the game running. I have discovered that if you already have the Mac plugged in and charging and then load the game it is normally fine, whereas plugging it in while the game is already loaded does nothing.
