Macbook Pro Save File Not Loading

I recently moved my save file due to tech problems with my laptop and I thought I had to get it re-imaged for school. Now there is not a save file on my game even though its still on my laptop as I can see my screenshots. It opens like a completely new game with no households or builds. How can I put my original save file back? I have tried moving stuff around but I am not good with tech so I have no idea what I'm doing.

That's the problem. They need to be in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves to load. Move them there and they should load.

Please could you click on the save file once to select it then go to File > Get Info. Under the General > Where section near the top of the info window please copy and paste the location of the save file here.

I was asking for you to confirm the file path 🙂 Let's try a more detailed search.

Please open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:

    find ~ -type d -name "*saves*" 2>/dev/null

After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.

Hmm, that's an odd result. There should be a User account name between Users and Documents. Is that all that came out of the Terminal search?

Please copy and paste all the returned results from the Terminal search here. You can take out the name of your user account and just replace it with User.
