My game won't launch

When i try to launch the sims 4, it will jump in the dock a few times before stopping. I've tried launching directly from dock and launching from the EA app. 

I've tried reinstalling the game (and checked the reinstallation was compatible through system settings), tried renaming the Tray, Saves and Mods folders (only the mods and saves got new folders, the tray stayed the same) and tried playing without icloud being connected to the desktop which, granted, worked, but it wouldn't keep any saves. 

Throughout all of this my mods and cc have been stocked away in my personal folders in case any of them being broken was the problem (it crashed when i had mods in, and kept going even after i took them out, that's mostly why i tried reinstalling so i could "clean" the gamefiles if that was the problem)

Can anyone help?
