My Sims 4 won't start

Everytime I try to launch my game, I get a message about one of my Sims 4 mod files being corrupted.

It told me what the name of the file was so I went in and removed it, but continued to get the same message when I tried to launch my game again.

I tried multiple times repairing the game, removing ALL the custom content from my mods folder, and even uninstalled then reinstalled the game, twice.

Has anyone had this problem or can someone help me fix it??

    Hi @abbykrall

moved this to the mac forum. Did you search your computer for that specific file ? Have you deleted the localthumbcache file ?

Is that the Wicked Whims mod? If so loads of Mac users have problems trying to get it to work. Move out your whole Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the desktop then do a super repair:

    1. In your Applications folder right click on the Sims 4 app and select Show Package Contents.
    2. Navigate to Contents > Mac OS.
    3. Right click on The Sims 4 and select Move to Trash. Don't drag the file as it will only move an alias and leave the original in place. If there is another file in the folder, The Sims 4.par, leave it alone.
    4. Now open Origin, click on The Sims 4 in your Games Library and click on Download.

Hopefully that will fix your game enough to play.
