NEW download of Origin, SIMS 4 and Legacy - nothing works on Mac

I've tried to look at some threads on here but can't quite find the solution I'm after. Ive never downloaded Origin or the SIMS or any game before - so I downloaded Origin onto the Mac today.  Then ...

This is the actual message it shows when I try to play SIMS Legacy:

Unable to start:

Unable to start due to missing game data. Please download The Sims 4 Legacy Edition from Origin.
