Origin forcing update on Legacy Edition?? Jan 2020

My Mac has switched to Legacy Edition as I don't have Metal (Mid 2010) and today Origin has asked me to update my game and I get the following error: Origin is not able to download The Sims™ 4 to /Ap...

Please right click on the game in your Applications folder and select Show Package Contents. In the Finder window that opens navigate to Contents > GP08 and open Version.ini using TextEdit. Please copy and paste all of the text in that document into a post here.
