Playing sims from external hard drive and Installing mods

So i recently installed sims 4 onto my external hard drive but I want to also save my mods and saved games on there too. So how will I move my electronic arts folder to the external hard drive to be ...

@Bluebellflora thank you so much your article really helped but I ran into some issues at first trying to create the Symlink. So I was able to create the Symlink after changing the format to Mac OS Extended (journaled) but with doing that I had to delete the game that was installed on there. So will I still be able to install the game with that format or will I have to change the format back to MS-DOS?
