Hello, I have recently bought a MacBook Air. Once I reinstalled my game packs on Origin and loaded Sims, it would start to freeze. I have since removed my saves, mods and tray folders out of the Sims folder but I am still experiencing this issue. Any advice on how to fix it? I cannot stay on the edit sim screen for longer than a couple minutes before the game freezing and my MacBook becoming unresponsive.
So, for Christmas I got a new MacBook 2020 13' inch. Of course the first thing I thought when I got it was, "let's get the sims 4'. When I Download and open the game I go start to CAS but, every time I go to edit the face or body, It freezes and I can't force quit or anything. I have to wait for it to close out itself. I have tried to resolve the issue by, putting my sims 4 folder in desktop, Re-downloading and Uninstalling, and manning more. I would still do the same. At the time I also downloaded CC and macOS Big Sur. Do you have any idea what is wrong?
So I just switched from playing the sims on an old Macbook Air to the most recent Macbook Pro with the M1 chip. I downloaded the game and switched everything over and it seemed to be working fine with playing until I got into create a sim. Every time I go into detail edit mode in cas my screen freezes. The game is still running and working because I can hear the music and the sound of sims and clicks but it's basically stuck on a freeze-frame to the point where I can't exit the game or access anything on my Mac because it's behind the frozen frame. I have to hold onto the power button and restart my laptop every time. I've taken out all my cc and mods and played completely vanilla and it still does this. I've also tried repairing the game but that doesn't seem to work either. Is it the laptop maybe? I've never had this problem. Any help is appreciated!
Update, it's not just detail edit mode, it seems like it happens when I zoom in too.

Go to page one of this thread and read the accepted solution (second post). It explains how to fix the issue by enabling vsync.
