Re: Deleted TS4 and reinstalled it, but my Electronic arts folder is gone (mac)

Please open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:

find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null

After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.

    /Users/my name/Applications/The Sims 4 Packs

    /Users/my name/Applications/The Sims 4.app

    /Users/my name/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/The Sims 4.app

    /Users/my name/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4

     

    but i checked all these locations and it still isn't there :-(

  • also, i forgot to mention that my documents folder itself doesn't open properly, but idk why :-(

    What do you mean your Documents folder doesn't open properly? What happens? The game needs to access the Documents folder to load the game user data. The Sims 4 folder is right there in the Electronic Arts folder in Documents on your Mac:

    /Users/my name/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4

    When I click on documents, nothing happens and thr folder itself doesn’t open, and when I go to icloud and click documents from there, it opens to an empty documents folder so i’m really confused ):
