Reinstalling your OS is good housekeeping for your Mac, especially if you’ve ever run apps that purport to clean up unwanted files. You shouldn’t lose any data as it reinstalls over the top of your existing installation, fixing corrupted and missing files and cleaning it up in general. You should of course always back up 🙂
@Bluebellflora Thanks, I'll do that soon.

Update:
We think this may be fixed on the Mojave OS (10.14), which officially releases on Monday, September 24, 2018.
- 7 years agoWhat exactly is the Mojave OS? Is that an update that we need to do manually?

- 7 years agoSo if we download this, the glitch may go?

I tried the Mojave betas and is was not fixed, but there MAY be a fix at the last minute. Got Mojave final installed and will check in a few and report back.
- 7 years agoOkay great. Mine is downloading now.

Well Nothing fixed in Mojave final, the same problem still exists, at least on my set up. Maybe ( I doubt it ) it will fix for some.

That's unfortunate ☹️ . Thank you for the info.
Do you have the same hardware that you listed previously?

I'm not sure if this will be of any help to EA but it wouldn't hurt to provide the info anyway. Could you go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and open the Config.log file. Scroll up near to the top and you'll see your graphics card info, like this:
=== Graphics device info === Number: 0 Name (driver): Radeon Pro 560 Name (database): AMD Radeon R9 450 and 460 [Found: 1, Supported: 1] Vendor: ATI Chipset: Vendor: 1002, Device: 67ef, Board: 00000179, Chipset: 00c0 Driver: AMD Radeon Pro 560 OpenGL Engine, Version: 0.1.68.20 Driver version: 20 Monitor: 00000000 Texture memory: 3953MB
Could you please copy and paste the information here?
Thanks 🙂
