Re: Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

I have the exact error, I'm playing on Mac. I've tried restarting my laptop, deleting origin app, deleting sims app, signing out/in, repairing game, clearing cache, making sure it wasn't running in the background or on another desktop screen.... everything. The error I get is (brackets and colons and all):
