The Sims team are currently investigating reports on this and are looking for some further information from impacted players.

If you're running into issues launching The Sims 4 via EA app for Mac and could share some data with us via DMing @TheSimsDirect, it would be most appreciated.

What we're currently looking for:

• The contents of the Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder (please follow the link here for steps on this).
• Crash and Spin reports.
