Sims 4 'Application not responding' 2017

When trying to open my game Sims 4 trys to open. Just to a black screen. Then crashes and it says application not responding. I have tried a few of the tips from on here which haven't worked. Moving ...

    Can you please disable Origin in game - Open Origin, click on Origin in the menu bar then Properties. click on Origin In-Game then disable Origin In-Game. Does it now work?

So since yesterday my Sims 4 game will not launch on my mac.

A black screen appears and then after a few seconds disappears again and I am left with the spinning colour wheel cursor. When I right click on the game icon it says "Application not responding".

Have tried "repairing" and uninstalling and reinstalling, both were unsuccessful.

Help!
