Sims 4 Video Card Error on MacBook Air

Hey, sorry if this question has already been asked but I can't find an answer. When I try to launch the Sims 4, it displays this:

Unable to start:

Can't run The Sims 4 with the video card in this system. Please check that the video card meets the minimum specifications and that the latest video drivers are installed.

I've checked that my computer meets the requirements for the game, I've tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, disabling Origin in the game, repairing it, etc. I have the legacy edition as well just in case. I have no idea what's happening and whenever I try to contact EA technical support, they tell me to talk on the phone, but they don't have a phone line anywhere on the website. Please help, I'm very bored of this quarantine. Thanks!

    Thanks 🙂 It all looks good. You don't need the Legacy Edition, it is not a fix for anything but a way for people on older machines to be able to play. I think you should uninstall the game again, run the Origin reset tool - https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/ turn off automatic updates in Origin, then re-download the game again. That will at least get rid of the Legacy Edition you downloaded that you don' need and may fix the issue 🙂

    Thank you for replying and sorry for the late response! My game is redownloading now and I'll update what happens. Thanks again 🙂

    Update: The video card error is fixed (yay!) but now it says I need to download the legacy edition, so I'm confused since my MacBook shouldn't require it ☚ī¸

    Update #2: I'm trying again just in case I accidentally skipped a step (edit: same result ☚ī¸)

    Hmm. You don't need Legacy. Has a new Sims 4 folder been created? Is there a new Config.log file in there? If so can you upload it again?

    @Bluebellflora I just checked my folder and even though I definitely don't have the Legacy Edition (confirmed by the error message) there is only a legacy instead of a regular Sims 4 file.

    @gwencatherine

    Thanks 🙂 Please can you try this:

    1. In your Applications folder right click on the Sims 4 app and select Show Package Contents.
    2. Navigate to Contents > Mac OS.
    3. Right click on The Sims 4 and select Move to Trash. Don't drag the file as it will only move an alias and leave the original in place.
    4. Now open Origin, right click on The Sims 4 in your Games Library and click Repair Game.
