sims won't stop loading

Hello, I have been playing sims a lot lately but for the last week it hasn't worked, I have had sims 4 on all-day without it leaving the load screen and I do not know what to do, i have tried to uninstall it but  that has made no difference and I am close to giving up, can it be my cc? Also i have a mac, I don't know if that makes a difference but thought I would mention that.
