Sims won't stop saving.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All EPs and GPs, luxury party stuff, perfect patio stuff, kids room stuff, backyard stuff, vintage glamour stuff, bowling night stuff.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Possibly letting your laptop go to sleep while your sims have multiple tasks.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims don't stop what they're doing. (Eg: Cleaning the counter non-stop or standing in place) then press save and go to manage worlds, where the saving won't stop.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see sims act normally after my laptop goes to sleep mode and the the saving doesn't go non-stop.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Last night, my laptop went into sleep mode (Sims 4 was playing) while I went to the restroom. When I returned, the sims wouldn't stop what they were doing. (Eg: One sims wouldn't stop cleaning the counter and others were moving in place). I thought that going to manage worlds could help, so I pressed save and go to manage worlds. However, my sims were moving (still doing what they were doing), and the game wouldn't stop saving. It's been saving non-stop since.

Letting your Mac go to sleep caused this. To quit your game click on the Apple in the menu bar then Force Quit. Select the game and click Force Quit again.

  • was this a one time occurrence or can you make it happen again ?

You will need to shut down your computer.
  • This was a one time occurrence, my sims have never froze like this before and saving has always been good, so I don't know what's wrong.

As for shutting down my computer, I can't. It says I have to quit the sims which I've been trying to do with no luck.
