Tea Magic Personal Brewer Causing Game Crash

Today I downloaded the new Mac IOs (Sonoma) and then I decided to purchased the new Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack plus three kits.
Now what is happening is that my Sims make a pot of tea (pitch black) and it is causing random crashes. Firstly they want to drink all of it, not just the one that makes it but all adult sims in household. They autonomously want to finish the pot. A sim may finish drinking the first cup and as soon as they do, the game crashes. A sim may pick up a cup for themselves, and the game crashes.

I have repaired the game, and it was only a few days ago that I reset the folders. It's still happening.

I guess I can delete the tea maker and not get them to use it, but in my story the Sim needs to be focused, and its one of my favorite ways to make that happen.

Such a shame.

Yes I use mods.

Thanks for clarifying. The point of a new Sims 4 folder is to not move any of your content over until you have established that the issue you have is either a bug in a vanilla game, or Mod related. Please move the Sims 4 folder again and then launch the game. Start a new save and see if the issue occurs.

Never assume you know which Mods will break or not, always check the updated Mods thread here or check the creator's site.

When you "reset the folders" please can you elaborate? Do you mean the Sims 4 folder or the Mods folder, or a combination of several folders? After resetting, what previous content did you copy into the newly created folders?

Did you check the bug forum to see if anyone else is reporting this https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/The-Sims-4-Bugs Vanilla game bugs should be reported in the bug forum, filling in the template. I don't believe this is anything Mac specific related. If it is Mod related it should be posted in the Game & Mod issue forum https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/bd-p/the-sims-4-game-issues-mods-en

@Bluebellflora I just moved my Sims 4 folder to the desktop and then let the game regenerate another folder system and then just copied and replaced the tray, saves and mod folder. Thank you for listening, this is my first time trying to figure out what is happening with my game.

I sold the tea maker which sold only for 5 simoleons and the game is no longer crashing. The only mod that are food/kitchen related I have is LilSims No auto food grabbing and transfer inventory. I don't see how that would be breaking the tea maker.
