I just updated today. I made a copy of my Sims 4 folder, as usual, and removed my Mods folder so I wouldn't lose any mods. (this has happened to me in the past.) I powered up the game and got the same message as you, start a new game. Frankly, I don't wish to start all over, thank you very much, EA. I even did a game repair. That didn't change a thing. I'm in the midst of writing What Happened In Your Game Today? I'm five parts into this story, having started it last July once we switched forums. My Rock Star and his Sweetheart just got married, after waiting for six long years. Oi! I will substitute a copy of my copy of the games folder and see what happens. I hope someone will come by and help you crack into your game. Oi. (And people wonder why I HATE patches!)
