can’t even open the game

is anyone else not even able to launch the game?? i’ve been trying for over 24 hours at this point even though my game was initially fine after downloading the update. even after clearing cache, checking for corrupted files, checking steam, etc. when I try launch the game through my desktop shortcut, it will open EA, show a loading bar and say “preparing game” but then it just crashes, no error message or anything. I just paid for a bunch of new add-ons and i’m getting so annoyed I can’t even access them

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

I’m experiencing the exact same thing word for word and I don’t know what’s going on I’ve been looking for ways to fix it but nothing works, I’ll click the short cut it says “preparing game” then EA just pops right up and I can’t launch the game

forgot I made this post lol, the clean game ran perfectly fine, so I took the long route and went into my sims folder to move my files over in chunks and then try launching the game each time.

all of my saves and my mods were fine, but when I moved over my tray files, the game would crash again. i’m not sure what I had in there that was corrupted, especially since it was fine until several days after the update, so I think that the EA app is at least partially to blame. but I deleted basically everything in the sims folder aside from from my mods and saves and that was the solution.
