CAS Not Letting Me Select Anything

Hi, so I've been a long time on and off player of the Sims4. I haven't played in a while and just bought a couple of packs/expansions to explore. I have never run into this problem before, but when I enter a New Game to make a sim in Create-A-Sim, the game will not let me click on ANY aspect of making the sim (dragging style). I can't select clothes, hair, skin, face, eyes, tats, details-- or Anything related to CAS when you click to select your Sim. I can't click and drag features either. I can select traits, choose the occult or even open the Gallery, but when it comes to actually editing my sims the curser will not let me click and instead only lets me rotate/spin my sim. The only thing I can do in CAS with both the right and left mouse click buttons is rotate my sim or choose traits/type a name. I've moved my mods out of the game and even unchecked the enable mods box so the game does not recognize it. I've deleted the local thumb cache file, and even had the EA/Origin app repair my game. However, this problem is still not fixed and I cannot edit my sims. Again, I have no CC or Mods installed in my game at the moment. This is so frustrating and the last thing I can think of is to post and ask for help. I reallyyyy want to play my game and this is heartbreaking to not be able to spend countless hours in CAS like I used to.

  • LunarLinaology  Try disabling any apps you use that come with overlays: Steam, Discord, etc.  Disable the EA App in-game overlay too, under Settings > Application.

If that doesn't help, switch the game to windowed mode and try again.  If you can't open the Options menu in-game, go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).
