Crashing minutes later during gameplay

I feel like I keep ending up in a horrible, endless loop, and I'm getting so tired of it. I've been using constant 50/50 methods to determine what is causing my game to crash, and I've performed multiple better exception tests; yet, nothing is resolving the issue with my game. I'm begging someone to read these texts for me and help me out because I don't know what to do when I have over 12k mods. Please help me.

  • Cookie_Heartss_  Thanks for the dxdiag, which shows one obvious issue: your C drive is very low on free space.  I don't know that this is causing the Sims 4 crashes, but it's certainly a problem in general . Please try to clear at least another 20 GB, for 25 total free, and see whether that helps.

If you get another crash, please let me know what world(s) you're playing in and whether the game runs better in one of the base game worlds.  Test with your Mods folder removed or renamed (same effect) for now; you don't need to save your progress.  I'm not saying you can't use your existing mods or custom content, only that we need to figure out whether the mods and cc are the cause of the crashing.

I'm sorry for the delayed response. I wanted to wait for a safe time to update the game, as the new update has caused issues for many players. So I'm not able to go into the game yet, but I'll provide as much info as I can.

After about an hour of gameplay, my game randomly freezes for a few seconds before closing. My Sims are just in the house managing their needs when this happens.

My lot is in San Sequoia.

  • Cookie_Heartss_  Can you play with the EA App in offline mode?  That would normally let you play without updating, although sometimes it doesn't work.  And it would also be a helpful test—I'd like to know whether the game freezes after an hour while offline.  If it does, repeat the test but with your entire computer offline too.

Yeah, it ended up crashing yet again. I don't know what could be doing this, and I'm running out of methods.

  • Cookie_Heartss_  Please confirm that you have at least 20 GB free on C, as of now.  You did in your last dxdiag, but it's been a week.

If that's not the issue, is this still a case of the game freezing and then crashing after an hour, or does the crash happen in other contexts?  Does it help to put the EA App in offline mode, then take your entire computer offline?  It's just a test, not a fix, but if it works, we've learned something useful.
