My game won't even open, I've tried everything

So I've just gotten the sims about 4-5 days ago, and it has been working perfectly fine. I've even downloaded mods, and the game has been working perfectly fine until today.

Around the afternoon I was downloading some new mods to make gameplay a little cooler, and after I was done, I finally opened my game just to be met with it loading, but then just bringing me back to the EA app. I've tried everything: Deleting old or broken mods, getting rid of duplicates, deleting the ache files, uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, removing my WHOLE, I repeat WHOLLEEE  mods folder and starting the game, still, it didn't work. Can someone please help me before I go insane. I'll attach a video below.

The same thing is happening to me. I can't play with a clean game either. No matter what I do, I can't get any household to load into a lot.

  • I have the same issue for 2 weeks now. It will load for 10 seconds then it will freeze and then takes me back to the EA app. I have all of the expansion packs and kits. I tried every tutorials I found in YouTube and nothing works. I finally got the courage to uninstall my Sims thinking It will fix it (I was soooo afraid to uninstall it because all of the Sims and houses I built will be erased) I tried creating a new EA account to start fresh and reinstall the game. But still the same. It will load then freeze and takes me back to the EA app. This is so sad!

Omg Ik you must be so mad. The same thing is going on for me and I don't even have any expansion pack. I was starting to think it was an issue with my computer but other games work just fine

  • loacie4ever sockshay keyssidesu  If you haven't already, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If you still can't play, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
