Hi @sammaleese
Have you tried all the steps here: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/11/mods-custom-content-doesnt-show-up/
If none of these help, could you please post a picture of your mods folder ?
How did you fix it???
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@bossgirl1311 Have you tried all the suggestions above ?
i have that problem too!
The thing is that CC worked fine for me but since the last Sims update I can't add new CC. After said update I couldn't start Sims anymore at all and after researching quite a while I found the option "repair game" on Origin. Sims is working again but CC isn't.
The weird thing is that the CC I had installed before the update still worked. It isn't now because I reinstalled the game and re-added it all to the Mods folder. (I don't have subfolders btw)When I deleted the game, I forgot to delete the EA folder on my PC and everything was still there, which is weird. And when I reinstalled Sims and all my packs, I got this error: 327683:0
I have no clue what to do!
- @crinrict Do you have to add the resource file into the CC folder? I don't have it in the folder but I have it in the folder 'Mods'.
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@coolulo What cc folder ? You just need a mods folder and then you can nest folders 5 levels deep to keep them organized. You only need one resource.cfg file
I have a solution that worked for me.
I transferred all my mods out of the folder and the tray out of its folder.
I started my game and unticked the mods in game options then I pressed restore defaults in the bottom corner.
I then exited my game and put my mods and tray back where they were but I deleted the resource cfg file in the mods folder.
I started my game, reticked the mods in game options and then exited the game again.
I then restarted my game and all my mods were working.
I’m having this same issue, i know this thread is old but I’ve been searching EVERYWHERE for hours. I got a new computer so I downloaded origin and sims, waited for all my packs and such to download which took a good few hours, and was downloading some cc during that time. I’m an avid player and use cc very often with no issues related to the game. I opened the game with around 80 files in the Mods folder, it shows up in the CC/Mods notice at the start up of the game, and my script mods and all custom content is enabled. I have done everything possible to fix this, because even though it shows up, none of the cc is in game. I’ve tried separating in batches, repairing and updating the game, moving the Mods folder to the desktop and deleting the necessary older folder and fixing it that way, as well as even rebooting my laptop, and reinstalling origin and sims. No matter what i put in the mod folder, it shows up in the message at the beginning, but nothing shows up in game. I’ve been fighting with this all day.
* Note i had the cc in the game earlier and everything worked fine, there was an issue where some of my packs hadn’t downloaded so I exited the game and then finished downloading them. After this, I went to download some more cc since it showed up before and went fine, when booting up the game then, that is when the files showed up in the message at the boot up of the game, but no cc whatsoever shows up in game. i really just would like a solution to this, as i’ve done everything in terms of sims/origin/ea/computer settings will allow.

I can't even enable cc. When I try to reload my game, cc automatically is turned off after I try turning it on.

What I mean is, I've emptied my mods folder, I try to enable cc for the game, it asks me to reload the game, but when I reload, it's still turned off.
