Double-Charged for Sims 4 Growing Together, No Option to Download

Hi everyone! I raced home from work to download Sims 4 Growing Together, purchased it, and nothing happened. I clicked again in case my purchase didn't go through, but again, it gave me confirmation of my purchase in the EA app, my email, and UNFORTUNATELY my credit card. It double-charged me $62 = $104 and didn't even download so I am obviously very irritated right now. I am on hold to chat with someone, wait time is 72 minutes.

Has anyone else experienced this? I buy all the expansion packs, it usually downloads right after I purchase. Please help, I'm so annoyed!

UPDATE: It is allowing me to download but after reading the troubles everyone is having, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. BUT it still double-charged me? Ugh, do I just stay on hold?

  • @rachLtee  Staying on hold is probably not going to be much fun considering the current issues with installing the new pack.  I'd suggest coming back later today when things have calmed down.  At that point, you might be better off contacting EA Help on Twitter or Facebook, or choosing the live chat option instead of calling.

    A double charge should absolutely be reversible, but you will need to have someone from EA support help you with that.

  • I ordered growing together today and got confirmation email with order number. When I tried to download it it kept directing me to buy it again. I cleared cache, rebooted my computer, restarted the EA app. Nothing I did would let me past the purchase page so I bought it again so I could download it.

    I have 2 confirmation emails with different order numbers and 2 charges on my credit card for the growing together EP.  Will one of the charges be removed?

  • @rachLtee Yep! Happened to me and had to contact the chat team. I downloaded it and was playing it. NOW, trying to play and it says I have to purchase it again!!! Very very very irritated right now it’s not even funny

    @jestani5  Please contact support again, and include proof that you were charged for both packs and (if possible) that you've only received one refund.  Support may be able to add the game back to your account or to refund the second purchase as well so you can buy the pack yet again, but either way, this should be fixable.
