Endless Loading/Saving Screen

For the past two weeks my sims game has been unable to load/save. I have done the 50/50 method, updated all my mods, removed any mods that are broken, outdated, obsolete, and run a batch fix on my build/buy cc to see of this issue was because of that and me running my game in DX9. However I still in counter endless Loading/Saving Screen.

I'm at my wits end with this and I'm just honestly tired and just want to play my game :( Please Help

  • Starbunn13  If you haven't already, please test with no mods or custom content at all, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package.  Rather than saving over your progress, you can use "save as" to create a new save slot.

If this doesn't help, please test a new save, still with no mods or cc.  If the new save is fine, go back to the old save and switch to a different household, using "save as" again if you want.

puzzlezaddictThank you for helping me! I tested the old save and a new save with and without mods the new save works just fine with it while my old save encounters the same issue previously mentioned. I also tried saving with a new household and with mods it still doesn't save but w/o it does.

Now I know that the problem is still my mods however I'm incredibly lost what it could be bc I've removed every mod that is broken, obsolete, conflicting, and not updated and even mods that sometimes cause trouble despite being cleared by the creators.

If your unable to help me any further can you please redirect me towards other forums, reddit post, or even discord servers that help with issues in mods folders. Thank you once more.

  • Starbunn13  My mods knowledge is pretty limited, so I'd suggest posting here instead:

While you're waiting for an answer, it's worth testing your mods, using the 50/50 method, in the specific scenario you've found that works without mods but not with them: saving a new household in your main save.  That should give you the answer you're looking for, and then you can ask for help fixing your main household with the name of the specific mod that's a problem.
