Failed to load

I have this too, the error states "an error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later". The game launches but doesn't even load up to the menu before it just closes. Steam will say that the game is still running but it's nowhere to be found on task manager. 

I was getting this error weeks ago too, uninstalled the sims and reinstalled yesterday. Yesterday it was working normally and I bought some new dlc and was playing. Then today the game won't start anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything possible, done integrity verification, repaired ea, deleted my cc and mods folder, cleared the cache, restarted my pc a bunch of times. Nothing.

    Yesterday the game somehow opened again. I've noticed the past two times I HAVE gotten it to open, it has been late at night for me and I've been playing other games on my pc for hours. Not sure if there is actually some sort of correlation or if it's luck, but it's very weird.

    i moved your post to the PC tech as the thread you posted in was from an XBox user so it's likely not the same error.

    Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    • Press Windows-Key + R
    • Type: DxDiag
    • Click on Save all Information.
    • Attach the Text File to your post
