game closes on startup

have also tried removing all my mods, pausing onedrive, clearing ea app cache and no improvement

edit i just tried removing the sims 4 from ea in documents and it still crashed, it just got like a second further than it would before.

annie_sick  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

simmer2mew  Your dxdiag lists a number of serious crashes of the Intel graphics driver, and the Sims 4 crashes point to the driver as well.  So please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver, as described in this article:

hey have i fixed it? because it started doing it again after 2 days of it working

simmer2mew  Your computer apparently updated to a newer driver than the one Lenovo provides.  So if you did correctly install the Lenovo driver (and I believe you did, since the problem went away temporarily), then the reason your game is crashing again is likely the newer driver.  The errors in your newer dxdiag are identical to the ones in the first dxdiag, so it looks like the same problem as before.

Try rolling back to the old driver instead.  Click Windows key-X, select the Device Manager, open Display Adapters, right-click the Intel entry, choose Properties > Driver, and you should see an option to roll back to a previous version.  The only available version should be the correct one, with a version number ending in 5333.  Restart your computer afterwards and try again to play.
