So i don't know why but when ever i try to go into a live game mode after i start the game, it crashes when its loading the family. I took out all of my mods but left the mod option on, but it still crashes. Everything is fine without the mods option on, but I'm not trying to play the game vanilla. I would like to know if its possible to remove the new Grim Reaper Event because it is now messing with my game.
Ok so i just checked to see if the game worked even with all mods and nothing else but the vanilla game and it still crashes, so its not just the mods causing any issues, i repaired the game after removing everything so i also no that's not an issue. I don't know what to do...
LUCKY19x Does the lot in question have the Off the Grid challenge? If so, please remove it. Otherwise, please choose a different lot.
If that doesn't help, please remove any files in ConfigOverride, if you have them.
Otherwise, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
