UPDATE: I was able to fix it by following this thread!!
I have a NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU and it's been acting up and messing with my computer since the recent update. Disabling DX11 and enabling DX9 via the EA app and sims 4 desktop shortcut fixed the problem!
