Game keeps crashing

Emelyn702​  When does the game crash?  If it's before the Main Menu, please remove your saves folder from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and try again.  If this works, you have a known issue:

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

It crashes in game, not before the main menu. Okay sure, I’ll send one over.

Emelyn702​  Please update the driver for your Nvidia graphics card.  You can use the newest driver provided by Nvidia:

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.

As a side note, is there a reason you're playing in DirectX 9 mode?  You'd have needed to select it manually, or force it in the EA App, since the game would always default to DX11 mode on your computer.

Emelyn702​  It's okay to continue to use DirectX 9 mode if you have a specific reason for it.  But if you don't have a reason to use DX9 mode, DX11 mode is usually better.  I'm just saying switch back and see what happens.  You can revert back to DX9 mode if you want.
