RAM use should be much lower, hopefully below 3 GB. If it's not, let me know. Otherwise, start reenabling services, a few at a time, to see what increases the memory load, which you can view in the Task Manager. You'll want to reboot and wait at least 30 seconds before the TM's RAM use stabilizes, since you'll get to the desktop screen before the startup sequence is actually complete.
