Game launching but not shown and shown as 0% on CPU and GPU usage

I launched my game, a pop up with that loading launch thing popped up and disappeared after loading completed. My EA app and task manager detected game started, however task manager shown CPU and GPU usage as 0%.

The game doesn't show up , can't do anything to close the game once it is "launched", even if I try forcing "end task" via task manager. Can't exit EA app as well.

I've deleted the cache, tried removing my mods, removing all the folders in "my document/electronic arts, restarting my PC, tried the troubleshooting shared in below discussion, but it still doesn't work.

Attaching my dxdiag for troubleshooting. Thank you very much for the help

  • tinylilpalette  Are you seeing BlueScreens when trying to play Sims 4?  They're definitely happening; the question is in what context.

For the game issue, is OneDrive running on this computer?  If so, whether you deliberately use it or not, please try pausing syncing before you play.  To see the option, right-click the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen, or perhaps hidden in the Tray (^ icon).

If that doesn't help either, please let me know what antivirus you use and whether you've installed the game through Steam.  It sounds like you're playing through the EA App, but I'd like to be sure.

puzzlezaddictNope, i don't face any bluescreen issue, the game simply doesn't load on my screen. I have gotten one drive signed out, issue remains. I only have window security and it says "no action needed" when i am loading sims. And yeap, using EA app.

puzzlezaddictHeyya, not sure if i am spamming you with same replies, somehow the forum didn't capture my replies. I don't get any blue screens, the game simply doesn't load after the preparing game pop up finished loading. I do have one drive, gotten it signed out and paused syncing, issue remains. I only have windows security, showing "no action needed", no threat/risk detected. And yeap. playing through EA app. I have tried launching the game using the "run as administrator" as well but yea, still isnt resolving.

  • tinylilpalette  This forum is a bit moody at times, so don't worry about a double post.  But you can expect that I'll see your posts eventually as long as you tag me.

At any rate, please try playing in a new admin Windows account.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address.  You'll be able to launch the game without reinstalling anything.
