Game won't open, help pls!

So my game will open to the white screen, load for 2-5 seconds then crash :/

I tried removing my mods folder and no luck. I also removed the whole Sims 4 folder to see if it will run with a fresh one, and it didn't work either.

Appreciate any help, thx!

  • NoNo0220  Thanks for the dxdiag and the crash report.  Please unplug the monitor that's currently plugged into the motherboard.  Your graphics card may or may not have a second HDMI port—I see conflicting information online—so please check.  But if it doesn't, leave the other monitor unconnected for now and try playing only with the single screen connected directly to the GPU.

The longer-term solution, if this makes a difference, would be to get a DisplayPort cable for one monitor.  Your GPU has two or three DP ports (depending on what source I view), and monitors are generally compatible; if not, an adapter is cheap.

If that doesn't help, please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the Nvidia graphics driver, as described here:

Keep the second monitor disconnected, or connected only to the GPU, while troubleshooting here.  If reinstalling the Nvidia driver doesn't help, please post a new dxdiag.
