Infinite loading screen of death

So lately ive been having infinite loading screens and normally i'd just pinpoint the mod causing the issue and boom its fixed ( sometimes...) today i tried to do the same and it was still taking forever to load the game. so then i tried to play vanilla but the game still thinks theres mods installed which theres not. I removed them.

I uninstalled/reinstalled the game and then opened the game back up ( still playing vanilla) and the mods were showing up again. now normally i'd be elated to see them in the game but i knew something was wrong because they shouldn't be appearing because i havent put them back in my mods folder yet.

So I'm not sure what to do or how to fix the issue.

  • Skr0ala baileyyharms  Please make sure you've removed the mods from the Sims 4 folder the game is currently reading, the location of which could have changed.  Here's how to find it:

If your save won't load with the correct Mods folder removed, please open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete any lastexception files you see.  Try again to load this save, and if and when it doesn't work, look for a new LE.  If you find one, open it (Notepad is fine), copy its text, and paste it into a reply here.

  • I am literally having the same exact issue!!  I do not know if it is the mod or the game because I took all my mods out and still had infinite loading screen. I am not sure what mod it is and have literally done everything
