happens a lot when i try to place down buildings or when i want to save the game
what i did: game repair, fresh install, new save file without mods
specs: i7-13700k, 4070 ti super, 16gb ram (ddr4), SSD, windows 11, all drivers are up to date
DontTouchMyTea Some builds broke with the For Rent patch or in the time since. Does the infinite loading screen happen with the same builds all the time, and not with others? If so, then the builds you're trying to use are likely among the broken ones.
For the infinite saving, have you added any content from the Gallery or your own library to these saves? Here again, does it always happen in the same contexts, and not in others, e.g. you can't save when one lot is active but you can when you're on another lot?
ive noticed it happening a lot with heavy buildings that have a lot of items in it, i havent play on that file yet cuz i wanna have nearly all lots filled and dont want anything happen to any vanilla townie (no story progression or whatever other thing) so i either try to save as soon as the lot was finally loaded (if it didnt got stuck there already) and either it got stuck while saving the file or if i went back to the world menu chances were high that it got stuck in the loading screen there or getting stuck by saving after i i got into the world menu
i also switched from dx11 to dx9 which didn't make a noticeable difference
DontTouchMyTea You could try placing some of these lots in a new save, to see whether they're broken all the time or just some of the time, for example maybe they're prone to breaking in a save that's already large and detailed. But if they don't work in any save, and placing them unfurnished doesn't help (or you don't want to), then you'll have to avoid using them, at least until the problem is fixed, if it ever is.
