Is anyone else having issues with their game crashing when they minimize it?

My game for some reason crashes whenever I hit the "start" button, rather than just minimizing. It also does this when I click onto anything other than the sims like if a notification popped up on the bottom right, I click on it and the game crashes.

Even if I try to open it back up before it crashes, the game crashes anyway.
