Missing household

So I had uninstalled Sims 4 due to the fact that I wasn't playing for months. I reinstalled the game, and all of my households are gone. I don't know where to look to try to see if I can find them and get them back. I also never ran any mods for the game or CC. I had gone through the forms to see if anyone had a similar issue, and it seems that it had been mod problems.

So there wasn't anything in the Tray folder, and I could not find the manage button for the EA app. I typically install the game through Steam. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that would fix it, but no luck.

  • Ghostyhero  User data, which includes saved households and builds as well as saves, is always stored in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.  Saves are in the saves folder, households and builds in Tray.  If OneDrive is running on your computer, whether you use it or not, be sure to check both of these locations:

    C:\Users\your username\Documents etc.
    C:\Users\your username\OneDrive\Documents etc.

Where is the game itself installed, and where was it installed previously, if you know?  You can see the current location in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.

If you don't find anything, please let me know where the game is installed as well as whether OneDrive is or was running on your computer.
