Hello,
My name is Rachelle. If you are receiving an error that you can not connect to EA servers to activate your sims 4 game please disable your antivirus software and any firewall that you may have activated.
Thanks

Hello Rachelle,
The strange thing is that i dont even have an antivirus or firewall enabled. not even installed. I did even add the origin site to trusted sites.
I dont know if it has something to do with installing the game several times on differect machines? (in my case)
- Anonymous12 years agoHaving the exact same issue. I've already tried two different games. I've got no antivirus or firewall active, no proxies, I made a new account, and I've done just about anything. I'm probably going to return it on Monday as I can't play it anyway so at this point my premium edition is a waste of money and time ):
same here, only i dont have the reciet to send it back... waste of hard earned money. and i will not be buying anymore ea games in the future. also- i had disabled all that was recommended to disable and still nothing. VERY DISSAPOINTED!
ps. waiting time for support is 30 min for the past 2 hours and still not chatting with anyone, phone number does not help either. all together the support for ea games is the worst i have seen.
... 4 days of searching here. and finally found a firewall still up. ea games needs to update their page to teach people how to disable their firewalls. still not planning on buying anymore of their games. sticking to xbox and playstation from here on out
- Anonymous12 years agoSo your issue was a firewall?
Even without the receipt I would still demand a refund. I'm just going to have to wait for my new laptop to arrive on Friday.. Though this is ridiculous and ea customer support doesn't help! Didn't provide any solutions. - Anonymous12 years ago
I am in the exact same position as u. Got this 4 X-mas and i reall want it work.
Cost £50 from Game!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had the same problem!
I did a few things, including
Opening my firewall and allowing all the sims 4 files
I also opened internet explorer> opened up origin in IE without signing in, I clicked the settings icon at top right of browser> clicked 'internet options' > security tab> trusted sites (window popped up with the origins website in the 'add this website to the zone' box)> click add> click close
After doing these things I had to shutdown my laptop for a while and reboot it, it then loaded the sims 4 no problem!
My firewall is still active and sims 4 is still loading fine.. If you try the above and it still doesn't work then I hope you find something that does!
EA needs to do a lot of thinking and mending!!!
