New PC Says mods corrupted
Hello,
So i just bought a new pc so have moved from mac which currently i can play the sims on however when i moved my saves and mods across to the new pc now i cant play with any mods installed. ANY. Even ones i am 100% sure are compatible with the latest patch- like i said, with the exact same data i can run on my mac. I downloaded the game and all the packs then launched and quit then added my saves and mods. I left out my old resource.cfg
and use the one the game generated. i can launch but only if i remove every single mod, i tried taking them out one at a time but no good until all gone.
It took me like 5 hours to download ts4 and all the packs so im really not interested in uninstalling. I have however tried to repair the game but i still get an error saying the below file is corrupted etc. TS4 is basically unplayable without mods so..... Please help!
Well i solved it myself but posting here incase anyone has the same issue-
I compressed my mods folder from my mac then transfered it to my pc. Then upon unzipping it came out as two seperate files- one called Mods MacOSX and the other just Mods. So i opened up the Mods folder and (not sure if relevant) went through and deleted all the DS_STORE files (mac file manager thingos) and then copied all my mods into the TS4 mods folder then deleted my local cache file and voila we have a working game again.
