New updates and patching crashing

Hi there ! Today I had to update my sims 4 game through Steam and many times when downloading the new patch it kept crashing. What is going on ? I am currently Uninstalling and Re Downloading the game.. that is a bummer. If anyone had the same issue let me know how you fixed the issue.

    Northbound01​  If reinstalling the game didn't help, please let me know what is crashing (Steam?) when you try to install, and post a screenshot of any error message you get.
