I dont know whats going on, but went to open up my EA App and it had an update and once again my game won't launch. I did as follow on previous post remove sims folder, repaired the game, restart my computer and still its not opening up, same issue

My game has not been working since the update either. I have zero mods or cc, and nothing works. I own every pack except Star Wars. I'm so angry right now.

Yes, its start to crash again same issue as of today I still cannot get in my game. I have included my dxdiag for you. Thanks

  • lovlyb  Your new dxdiag still lists the old driver, so either it didn't install properly, or your system somehow reverted to the old driver.  So my previous suggestion about installing the new driver still applies here.

I can get the game to launch, and none of my saves are there. I create a new sim and start the game, but as soon as my sim spawns onto the lot I chose, it freezes. I can't move my sim or anything. I go into build mode and it's the same thing. I have updated my drivers and that doesn't seem to work. I save the game, exit, and come back in only to have to restart the entire process because it (again) didn't save my game, even though I clicked save. I am currently trying to "repair" the game, so if it does this again, I'll come back and do the dxdiag. I haven't been able to play in at least two months and am so frustrated.

  • cluelesskenz  Your computer's page file is a bit on the small side and almost all used.  The page file is where the processor stores data that would normally be in RAM but doesn't fit, and with only 8 GB memory, your laptop is going to rely on the page file to some extent while you play.  It's not a bad thing, IF the page file is large enough, which it appears is not the case.

It's easy enough to increase the size though.  Here's how (option three):

    https://www.elevenforum.com/t/manage-virtual-memory-paging-file-in-windows-11.8618/#Three

Set the minimum to 16384 and the maximum to 20480, and restart your computer.

If that doesn't help, please try playing with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
