Re: Sims 4 Stuck on Finalizing

Hey @Cheri9803, can you ensure that you are running Origin as administrator and that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

  • TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
  • UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

  • @EA_Darko I followed your advice and it fixed the finalizing issue but it's only downloading my Origin DLC. Also, when I try to download The Sims 4 Steam in my game library it's saying "Error Launching Game: The game The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe does not appear to be installed. Please install it or try relaunching the game."
The thing is, it is installed.

Hey @Cheri9803 are you trying to launch the game from Origin or Steam?

Can you ensure that you are running Steam, Origin and your game as administrator and that nothing is blocking any of them.

  • @EA_Darko I'm trying to launch the game from Origin.

I'll try running them as administrators and see what happens.
  • @EA_Darko I've followed everything you advised but I keep getting "Error Launching Game: The game The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe does not appear to be installed. Please install it or try relaunching the game."
Don't know if this is important but I bought The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe as well as most DLC (Outdoor Retreat - Eco Lifestyle) from Steam.

@Cheri9803  When you install Sims 4 from Origin, only your Origin-owned packs get installed.  If you want your Steam-owned packs, you need to install them through Steam, and in order for that to work, you need to have also installed the base game from Steam.  Once it's installed, you can then download your other packs from Origin and launch the game from Steam, that is, if it's working properly.

The error you're getting is because Steam doesn't recognize the game when it's installed from Origin.

@Cheri9803  You uninstall the Origin version of the game and install it from Steam.  Once you've installed the base game and any Steam-owned packs, you sign into Origin and download the packs you own there.  Origin will (should) recognize the Steam-installed game and let you add the rest of your packs.
